Thank you for posting this! I have often felt the way you did....the piece on wondering if the song was "Cool Enough" or also wondering "what will they think?" Puhleez. I have become so aware that, yes, music is music. You either love what you dig because it's how YOU really think/feel or you're a fake and just follow the masses. I'm one to be straightup....I like something because I like it. Not because 50,000,000 other people think it's cool. I even put that in my music section on myspace:

My favorite thing to talk about. I love all music and almost anything that has to do with it! As far as National/International artists, I have a wide range of favorites. My thing is, I don't follow the masses. I have to like things on my own terms. When I am meant to get cozy with certain music or artisits, I know. It's like this deep warm feeling I get inside that screams....."This artist needs to be heard!" Could be someone brand spankin' new......or someone from 30 years ago. Just a few faves of mine, so you can get a taste of what I dig on: Hendrix, Mayer, David Ryan Harris, Keith Varon, Ernie Halter, Kip Blackshire, Blackshire, Anthony David.........

Kudos to you for all of what you wrote. And on the Apple bit.....LOVE IT! And it's so true.

See ya in San Jose and Vegas
