Strange, I’m thinking the exact same thing.. Apple did a big favor to case manufacturers
when they went with that shiny gross plastic .. personally, I liked the fake “leaked” mockups
WAY better .. Hey Incase, any chance you can make a case that magically gives the iPhone A2DP? ;)

The Protective Cover and Slider look very nice, I will have to get one as soon as I get an iPhone (hopefully on the 11th of July). One question though, will they be in UK Apple Stores on the iPhone 3G launch day?

I love the INCASE SLIDER for the Iphone but I hope it would be more reliable. I mean, both of my cases didn’t last 3 months of use. It easily got broked on the bottom part. Please please please make the cases of good build quality. I’m still going to get the slider case just hope it won’t disappoint.

I agree. There’no point if we cannot get the case beforehand.
You shuold try the best to distribute 3G cases before Friday
otherwise customers will get other cases available on that day
just to take it out with protection.

Those of you complaining about the cases not being available before Friday must not know much about how Apple works… they are secretive… the cases probably won’t be available beforehand because the specs needed to design them weren’t available in time to complete production. I was at an Apple store yesterday and the people working in there have never seen an iPhone 3G and it comes out in 2 days…

First I want to say that Incase IS, in my opinion, THE best producer of Apple protection solutions. One thing I think your designers should take into consideration…a Protection Cover and Leather Folio combination would be sooooo cool. At least make the Folio large enough to allow the iPhone to fit in the case with the Protection Cover. Both are great as they are, but together they would make the ultimate protection package.
The Folio is good, but once the phone is out of the case there is no protection. That’s where the Protection Cover would “kick in”. Just a suggestion.

I also asked Incase the question of whether the Protective Cover or Slider will fit in the Leather Folio and received an email 3 days later with their standard reply of providing zero info. However, when I called them directly they stated that both would not fit in the Leather Folio. I was disappointed and agree with Kareem that this combo would be excellent protection for the iPhone. I emailed Marware with the same type of question and they responded the next day. Unfortunately their answer was the same.
Reply to flapple: Hopefully not “All of the information that is currently available regarding our new products for the iPhone 3G has been posted.” Incase must have additional info that either they can’t or do not want to reveal, and I am sure the designers are not feverishly making sure that “all of our new products meet the high standards that our customers have come to expect from Incase.” With July 11th just around the corner production of the cases should have been completed and shipped to all the retail outlets already.
Maybe they think that making us wait for info on their cases will make us want their cases even more, who knows?!

Had this reply today on email about the slider:
Our 3G Slider Case will be available sometime near the end of August but we do not yet have an exact release date. All new information will be posted on our website so you may wish to check occasionally.
