Video: Power Slider Charging & Syncing
We’ve created a new video that demonstrates two Power Slider functions: charging and syncing. Watch it to get a better understanding of how Power Slider works. Or, if you are one of the many who has already purchased the product, view the video as you read through your user manual to help guide you through the process.

Mine doesn’t sync either. I know you guys know aboutthis problem, have you come up with a solution yet?

I agree about the sync issues. I believe the case has to be charged up until at least 2 LEDs on the back are lit before my Mac Pro will “see” it in iTunes to sync it. If that’s how it’s “supposed to work”, it should have been clearly documented someplace when I bought it.
Additionally, I’m rather upset it requires the included mini USB charging cable, and can’t just take a standard mini-USB car or home charger to charge it back up?! I can’t see any technical reason this should be the case. Did InCase just wire it non-standard on purpose so they could make money selling replacements for any lost or broken cables??

Where can I get an extra cable? What about a composite cable so I can hook it up to a tv without having to remove it from the case? It’s a great product but is very limited…

I don’t know if this helps anybody but, you have to push the botton on the back and see the fifth light come on then plug it into your computer. It will not sync if you connect it to your computer first then press the button. Hope it helps. I lovre my incase power slider!!

Where’s the support page for this product? I can’t get it to sync ringtones. I have to set it to auto-sync when connected to iTunes but I don’t want it to auto-sync. The special cable is too short and how do you get another one or a longer one? There aren’t any A/V cables supplied for the special sync cable. It doesn’t come with a screen protector. The case doesn’t protect the iPhone buttons. As soon as a sync is finished iTunes forces the iPhone to disconnect when in the incase, but the iPhone says it is still syncing even though iTunes no longer recognizes the iPhone. Then pushing the button on the back doesn’t take it back out of sync mode. I have to put it in sync mode to connect to my car stereo and when it disconnects I get an iPhone warning that there is an unauthorized charger attached so I have to take the phone out of the case and put it back in. The special cable doesn’t work with my home stereo becuase the apple connector is blocked. And if I leave the power slider connected to my computer to charge – i get warnings that there is an unrecognized device connected.
The power slider is a really good concept but it creates more problems than it solves. I’m getting rid of this thing going back to the speck candyshell and a kensington batterypack.

Has anyone else noticed that at about the half hour-hour mark of being connected to the case (not the computer, just in the case), you loose all phone reception due to (i can only assume) the way the case uses the standard jack? I have tested this in all areas, both good reception and bad, both with and without the case, but about half an hour in, it always drops service and the 3g connection. Like has been said, great idea, but causes more problems than its worth. Especially if you have an Invisible Shield on it. Took me about half an hour to get the damn thing out of the case after i put the screen protector on.

I’d really like to know why my power slider case no longer recognizes the phone after 10 minutes or so. It was very comforting and I was thrilled to no end when I first bought the case, to see that I always had a full charge indicator or at least it was charging, now nothing. Finally I can’t listen to music or the ipod player unless listening through the headphone jack. It’s wierd. And now I’ve been informed that the case has been discontinued. Lovely.

i have had this case since december 2008. i have never had a single problem with it until now. After recently upgrading to the 3.1.2 FW, when i now plug in my iphone i get the message saying “this product is not made for the iphone would you like to…” And since this happens i cant listen to any sounds through the speaker since the phone thinks its plug into a car stereo or something like that.
