Introducing HunterGatherer for Curated by Arkitip

HunterGatherer

Today we launch the latest installment of the Curated by Arkitip project with New York-based HunterGatherer. The brainchild of Todd St. John, HunterGatherer is an award-winning design, illustration, animation and production studio.

St. John and frequent HunterGatherer collaborator Gary Benzel created the woodgrain pattern and have applied it to products ranging from furniture to skateboard decks. The signature design has been reintroduced for Curated by Arkitip, ornamenting two of our own signature products: the MacBook Sleeve and iPhone Slider Case.

HunterGatherer Sleeve

HunterGatherer is known for its spare, but inventive projects, often combining experimental and hand-built techniques with more complex methods. Since 2000, HunterGatherer has stayed decidedly small, focusing on a limited number of assignments across a wide range of mediums. The HunterGatherer products for Curated by Arkitip add to the studio’s body of work, which include a number of animation projects for clients such as Nike, VH1 and The New York Times T: Magazine, as well as ongoing work for New York City’s green initiative, GreeNYC.

HunterGatherer iPhone Slider Case

The HunterGatherer 15” Sleeve for MacBook Pro and HunterGatherer Slider Case for iPhone 3G S and iPhone 3G are available today in our webstore and arkitip.com with availability following shortly in select Apple retail stores and better boutiques.

  1. This looks fantastic!

  2. Would love to have that pattern as a wallpaper.

  3. @jason: Check the Extras on the HunterGatherer page.

  4. Finally, something to complement my old school Hunter Gatherer wallet with the same print.

  5. Why no 13″? Pleeeeease….big demand at retail, ppl are bummed they can’t enjoy these for 13″….

  6. That case looks awful,it looks like a giant turd. Do you really want people to stop and stare in the street asking their friends, “why is that guy over there licking a turd?!” and for the friend to reply it’s not a turd, he’s talking on his iphone which is encased in a turd! Erm no thanks.
