A Heap of Holiday Fun at the LA Record Party
On Saturday, December 18th, the LA Record threw its fifth annual holiday party at Bedrock Rehearsal Studios in Echo Park, CA. How was it? Honestly, a total pile. No really, it was just debauched, sweaty and packed. Precisely the way a good holiday party should be. And, thanks to the non-stop rain raging down on Los Angeles right now, it was damp. The dampest damp. And loud. Very, very loud.
Nonetheless, people had a great time watching the night’s performing artists, sitting on Bad Santa’s damp lap, enjoying onsite taco trucks, and creeping around the studio’s labyrinth of pop up shops, live music rooms, and pinball parlor. As part of our sponsorship of the event we gifted a Santa’s sack-load of Incase products to several performing artists and gave away free cases for the iPhone 4 and 3GS. Stuff that in your stocking!

THIS Holiday faux-Needlepoint Tote Bag is Rad
On Friday, December 10th, the ‘THIS Holiday’ show kicked off at THIS Los Angeles in Highland Park, CA. For this opening we again created 100 limited-edition tote bags, this time featuring a brilliant piece of work by artist Kimberly Scola. As always, the bags were beautiful, the art was plentiful, and the vibe was nice. Check the photos.

Party with Incase at the LA Record Xmas Party
On Saturday, December 18th, Incase is excited to present the annual L.A. Record XMAS PARTY at Bedrock Studios in Echo Park. The night will feature more than 25 performers— including 14 DJs, 13 post-modern dancers, 12 live bands, 8 dancing Santas, 5 live statues, 4 pop up shops, 3 stand-up comedians, 2 turtledoves, and a heap of live screen printers. In addition to sponsoring the party, Incase will be on hand gifting cases for your iPhone 4 & 3GS. Each year since we started in 2005, L.A. RECORD has thrown an Xmas party. Back then it was Daddy Kev and Mike Stock DJ-ing off mismatched turntables balanced on two trash cans in a Hollywood parking lot while Bad Dudes, thee Makeout Party, the much-missed Horses and Darker My Love played in front of a Władysław Starewicz video. We think of these parties as our way of saying ‘thank you’ to everyone who helps and supports us throughout the year. Thanks to the unprecedented generosity and goodwill of not only every person on the flyer above but our writers and artists and photographers and advertisers and volunteers and more, we have now been able to put together by far our biggest event EVER!
