Instagram for iPhone
Instagram is absolutely great, you take a photo, apply one of many filters (if you desire) and share it with friends. That’s all there is too it. Sure you can also instantly upload it to a bunch of social platforms such as Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and etc. But the real juice is inside the app, browsing through thousands of photos that people have shot.
A lot of people at the Incase office (and our friends at Day19) are already using Instagram so we decided it was time to to set up an official “goincase” account. So now you can follow us with Instagram for iPhone! You’ll get to see exclusive snapshots from in and around our office, and what goes on behind the scenes. Tomorrow Happened Yesterday
Well folks, the annual Chicago music festival Tomorrow Never Knows has once again come and gone. Our friend Rob at Schuba’s sent over images and a short recap of last week’s event:
Now in it’s seventh year, Tomorrow Never Knows is the only event of its kind in Chicago during the bitter month of January, bringing together the best in buzzed about local acts as well as nationally acclaimed indie acts. This year featured the likes of Markéta Irglová, Mister Heavenly, Freddie Gibbs, Twin Shadow and Hansdsome Furs.
By all accounts the festival brought an appreciated reprieve from the snowy weather. Did patrons enjoy their iPhone 4 cases? Oui. Were we happy to lend a hand? Definitely. To Rob and everyone at TNK, thanks again for having us. We’ll see you again next year. Bundle up.
Hold by La Sera
La Sera performing “Never Come Around” at Room 205.
After touring the world, releasing a handful of well-received records, and starting the label Wild World with her Vivian Girls band mates, Katy Goodman played in the short-lived dream-pop band All Saints Day and released a hard-to-find self-titled 7″ of spectral pop tunes. In February 2010 she began working on fresh material for her new side band, La Sera. According to Goodman, the project’s inspiration springs from an attraction to ethereal choral vocals and pop hits of the 1950’s. Indeed

We’re pleased to premiere the third and final installment of La Sera’s episode of Room 205, featuring the song “Hold.” Katy Goodman of Vivian Girls (vox/bass), along with hired guns Jennifer Prince (guitar/vox) and Jonathan Weinberg (drums/dry humor), stopped by Room 205 to blast through a few songs from Katy’s upcoming full-length on Hardly Art. “Hold” is available today for both viewing and audio streaming through Room 205’s virtual home. Also check out La Sera’s previous two performances featuring “Devils Hearts Grow Gold” and “Never Come Around.”
Watch for next month’s episode of Room 205 with Avi Buffalo, launching Monday February 7th.
Tomorrow Comes Today!
Despite the snow covered streets and bone shattering 27-degree temperatures, the brave souls of Chicago are again throwing one of the most entertaining music festivals in North America— Tomorrow Never Knows 2011.
From January 12-16th, Schubas, Lincoln Hall, and the Metro are joining forces to bring you five nights of live music, buzzing ear drums, and tender vibes. As a sponsor of the festival we will be on hand gifting products for your iPhone 4 and generally doing whatever we can to help make this fantastic celebration of independent music and culture go down. Bundle up, bring ear plugs. We look forward to seeing you there.

La Sera Performs “Never Come Around” on Room 205
Incase is pleased to premiere the second installment of Room 205 with La Sera, the solo project of Vivian Girls’ Katy Goodman. A few days before embarking on La Sera’s first UK tour, Katy stopped by Room 205 – along with hired guns Jennifer Prince and Jonathan Weinberg – to blast through a few songs from Katy’s upcoming full-length on Hardly Art. This week, Incase has unveiled the second song from that session – “Never Come Around.” The first song, “Devils Hearts Grow Gold,” premiered last week. Both are available today for viewing and audio streaming through Room 205’s virtual home. The third and final performances will air Monday, January 17th.
Room 205 is a rehearsal space in Downtown Los Angeles that has been converted into an audio recording studio. As a means to foster goodwill between artists, music lovers and Incase, Room 205 will play host to touring and local bands who will each perform three songs and sit for casual interviews.
Inside Room 205, visitors are able to watch intimate performances and interviews, stream audio of the tracks and view photos of the sessions in the improvised space filled with recording equipment, sunlight and abundant creativity. Previous episodes of Room 205 feature Abe Vigoda, Crystal Antlers, and Puro Instinct.
