This past Wednesday, Imprint Culture Lab held it’s third annual event at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

Aimed to investigate, promote and curate global creative culture, the ICL rallies together an amazing roster of talented individuals from the worlds of art, media, food, fashion, product design, architecture and pop culture phenomena to conduct a day long series of panel discussions and workshops.

No.3 of the four panel discussions, The Cult of Collaborations. Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment x David Wilson of Kangol alongside jeffstaple of Staple Design x Michael Kuhle of Lomography with moderator John C. Jay. A great discussion about the organic nature of relationships between people who break out of the box to create and innovate.

Arkitip recently issued Arkitip No. 0048, which has Ryan McGinness as featured cover artist and curator. We worked with Arkitip to produce the custom handle-carry box that was designed especially for this issue.

The packaging includes a custom tray inside the box that holds the edition on one side and McGinness’ book, Aesthetic Comfort, on the other.

This past week we showcased our new lineup of Life and Technology products at the Agenda Show in San Diego. Although this show has a much smaller footprint than Project in Vegas, it features an even more select grouping of streetwear and action sports brands with a strong emphasis in style, art, music and culture.

The activity inside the walls of our portable showroom. There was a steady flow of traffic at our booth and a great buzz about Incase around the show.

While we successfully worked with what we had at Project in Vegas the other week, with complete control of our environment at Agenda, we were able to provide an elevated experience for all who viewed.

Today, we were able to enhance our presence in the streets of SF.

From golden televisions to a dude singing and blowing bubbles in the middle of the street. Cruising through Soho, there’s something new around every corner.

After a day trekking through the city, we finally headed out to the beach for the show.

While we cruised through the perimeter of the amphitheater, it was great to see the AKOG logos I created with John scattered amidst the tents. His “Another Kind of Green” campaign has been in full effect since creation and is making strides in the fight against global warming. It was a pleasure to be a part of the project back in February when we created the bags for his Mayercraft cruise.

The show was incredible. The band was tighter than ever and John was having a blast. Even during a brief downpour, the performance on stage kept the crowd going with high energy, unaffected by the rain.

Tony, myself and Jeff. Stoked that he was able to come out and hang with us at the show.

For the encore performance of “Waiting on the World to Change”, John had requested that a group of his close friends jump on stage and fill in for the backup vocals… “waiting”. On top of the fact that he was in front of 14,000 JM fans, it was Tony’s first onstage appearance. You can peep my behind the scenes video here or read more at Tony’s blog on John’s site. Lately I’ve been working with the group on the final touches of our SF design studio. It’s been quite a process to produce this unique space and I wanted to give you a first glance into our new home in the bay.

Our custom conference table. A shaped piece of solid corian that was so heavy they needed to bring it in through the window via crane.

The custom dj booth. A bunch of the guys here are dj’s, so it only made sense to make this the lounge centerpiece.
