Avi Buffalo began recording with engineer Aaron Embry (Elliott Smith and Emmylou Harris). The band signed to Sub Pop in late-2009, releasing its self-titled debut of intricate yet lovely pop songs in April 2010, and extensively toured the US, Europe, and the UK. This is when according to Avi, “Everything got kind of freaky!”

Today we premiere the third and final installment of Episode Five of Room 205 with Avi Buffalo. Helmed by director Otto Arsenault (Matt & Kim’s “Lessons Learned”), the Long Beach, CA-based band performs “5 Little Slugs” (a different take on album track “5 Little Sluts”) for this installment of Room 205.

Headed by songwriter/guitarist Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg, Avi Buffalo hails from Long Beach, CA. Avi began recording music on a home computer during his sophomore year of high school. He debuted a full electric band the next year, playing a number of local shows in Long Beach and LA.

Avi Buffalo Performs “Can’t I Know” on Room 205

We’re stoked to launch the 2nd performance of Avi Buffalo in Room 205. The song is titled “Can’t I Know” and is off their debut album on Sub-Pop Records.
