Incase and Stussy Join Forces to Release Series 001 Collection

Incase and Stussy are proud to announce the availability of the Series 001 Collection, a full range of bags, accessories and coordinating apparel for Spring 2013. The Series 001 Collection fuses Incase’s expertise in superior technology protection with utilitarian, military-inspired designs for the utmost mobility demanded by a global, connected lifestyle.

The Series 001 Collection includes three signature Incase bag designs updated in a premium material set with enhanced functionality. The Backpack, Duffel and Camera Field Bag feature heavy-duty 1680D nylon construction and weatherproof-coated panels that give the bags their dual texture look while also providing added durability. A Velcro panel on each bag allows for subtle branding via a detachable badge and added customization with an assortment of patches.

Whether used independently or in combination, the bags in the Series 001 Collection form a modular carrying system that easily adapts to the demands of long expeditions or short missions.

Each bag features exterior webbing that creates a gear attachment ladder system for flexible storage options through the addition of utility pouches. The Duffel’s large cargo capacity and integrated notebook compartment make it a prime choice for overnight travel. The Backpack and Camera Field Bag both include a concealable and removable rain fly, ensuring critical technology and daily essentials stay protected in inclement weather situations.

Small goods in the collection, such as the Capsule In Ear Headphones, Slider Case for iPhone 5 and Utility Pouch function as stand alone accessories or as complementary extensions to the bags in the collection.

The Series 001 Collection also includes a selection of tees and caps featuring both brands’ iconic logos. This capsule apparel series reflects the quality and heritage Stussy is known for and is Incase’s first release of collaborative apparel.

The Incase | Stussy Series 001 Collection is available starting today in our webstore, Stussy Chapter Stores worldwide and select discerning boutiques.

Incase Introduces Limited Edition Collection with Artist Clare Rojas

As a painter, illustrator, writer and musician, Clare Rojas has thoughtfully woven an intricate multimedia world. We are proud to introduce a capsule collection with the San Francisco-based artist who has infused a fresh and feminine perspective to signature Incase bags and cases with her colorful animal characters and abstract patterns created just for the collection.

Rojas’ visual artistry encompasses a broad spectrum from modern abstract to delicately detailed figures. Stark backgrounds emphasize carefully rendered geometric patterns, a part of what Rojas calls her current exploration of “domestic abstract interiors”, focusing on patterns, color and composition in simple and reduced forms. Figures and characters, whose narratives are the centerpieces of Rojas’ previous bodies of work, make an appearance in the collection in the form of a colorful and expressive owl. The two perspectives come together harmoniously in the four-piece Incase for Clare Rojas collection, which is comprised of a Campus Pack, Tote Bag, 13″ Protective Sleeve and iPhone Pouch.

Rojas gives a unique voice to her visual art through music. Performing under the pseudonym Peggy Honeywell, her folk-inspired style ranges from easygoing tales of everyday life to meditations on friendship, love and the human spirit. Peggy Honeywell has released four albums, two of which can be found on Galaxia Records out of San Francisco. In addition to the collaborative collection, we are excited to launch a new three-part episode of Room 205 featuring Peggy Honeywell, the first of which debuts in conjunction with the release of the product collection. For the episode, Rojas painted the bold, abstract backdrop against which she performs. The second and third installments of the Peggy Honeywell episode will release on August 13th and 20th.

The release of Incase for Clare Rojas comes on the cusp of Rojas’ new exhibition at Kavi Gupta Gallery in Chicago, which will run from September 15 to October 21 followed by an exhibition at Prism Gallery in Los Angeles.

Incase for Clare Rojas is available now in our webstore with prices ranging from $49.95 to $129.95. Be sure to check back on August 13 and 20 for new installments of Room 205 featuring Peggy Honeywell.

Introducing Incase for Shepard Fairey

We are proud to announce our latest project with visionary artist Shepard Fairey. New for Spring, Incase for Shepard Fairey is a capsule collection of accessories for Apple users featuring work from one of the world’s most influential street artists. As a cultural provocateur, social critic and artist, Fairey’s striking illustrations have created some of the most enduring cultural memes in modern times.

The collection includes a range of bags and products for MacBook, iPhone and iPod touch adorned with a selection of bold patterns and illustrations emblematic of peace and harmony. The three designs, Elephant, Ornament and Pattern, turn signature Incase products into mobile works of art imbued with social context and commentary that speak to ideals of both the artist and the user who carries them.

“The artworks that comprise my series for Incase all overtly or sublimely reflect the concept of Peace,” said Fairey. “Peace seems like a simple idea, but evidence of its fragility is far too visible. I believe peace, beauty and harmony are not only related, but intertwined. Visual symbols of peace manifest similarly in many different cultures, transcending language and reminding us of the basic loves and needs we all have in common. Peace is a struggle, but whether the images are ornamental, hopeful, or cautionary, this series promotes harmony.”

“Shepard is a great friend and artist who has been able to rise above convention and communicate subversive ideas to a wide and receptive audience,” stated Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “As an artist who navigates freely between the street, fine and commercial art worlds, we admire and are inspired by his work and are excited to provide consumers with accessible and functional Shepard Fairey artistry through the collection.”

Incase for Shepard Fairey is available now in our webstore, select discerning boutiques worldwide and in limited availability at the Apple Store. Be sure to visit the Shepard Fairey project page to learn and see more.

Introducing the Ryan McGinness Capsule Collection

Artist Ryan McGinness explores outer space, the inner space of the mind and as McGinness puts it, “uber fanciness” in our latest collaboration. Available today, the Ryan McGinness capsule collection uses Incase products as a vessel for delivering the New York-based artist’s work, with a range that includes a 15” Protective Sleeve, Snap Case for iPhone 4S and Shoulder Bag. Created specifically for Incase, the original artwork featured in the collection is part of a larger body of work entitled Black Holes.

The Black Holes series is inspired by “event horizons,” the celestial light show that accompanies the collapse of light and matter into a black hole. Concentric patterns depict the theoretical physics of the universe while simultaneously creating mindscape portals to provoke a psychedelic response from the viewer. In our Ryan McGinness capsule collection, the artist has applied his iconic drawings to Incase’s signature cases and bags designed for Apple users with an appreciation of both art and technology.

The Ryan McGinness capsule collection is available now in limited quantities through our webstore.

Introducing Eley Kishimoto For Incase

UK based design duo Eley Kishimoto (Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto) have lent their iconic “Flash” print to our signature protective products. The Incase 13″ MacBook Pro Sleeve, iPad Sleeve and the Slider Case for iPhone 4 have been treated with the bold graphic, representing the perfect balance between creative flair and simple execution.

“Being an avid user of Incase accessories, I found their products to be the perfect platform to express our creative ideas,” said Mark Eley, Eley Kishimoto founder. “We have manipulated a variety of surfaces and materials in the past, from concrete to ceramics to motor vehicles. With the Incase collaboration, it was an opportunity to communicate the quality and integrity of both brands’ approach to design, collaboration and product.”

From a partnership forged in the early 90s, Eley Kishimoto quickly gained a reputation for incisive and intelligent print design. Their creations have been displayed on the runways of the world through their work with Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Alber Elbaz and Jil Sander, among others. Although they primarily work in fashion, they have also collaborated with partners to offer a wide range of footwear and accessories, as well as wallpaper, furniture, fabrics and more.

The Incase | Eley Kishimoto collection is our latest collaborative project within the fashion world, following previous co-branded releases with Paris fashion boutique colette featuring art by Gareth Pugh and Japanese menswear brand uniform experiment.

“Technology and fashion are almost inseparable these days, and we are playing a key role in this convergence,” said Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “Eley Kishimoto has a strong visual identity and positioning which I respect and admire on many levels and the partnership brings a fresh perspective that people can relate to.”

The Incase | Eley Kishimoto products are part of a capsule collection of accessories for Apple device users with an appreciation of fashion and technology. The collection will officially launch at London Fashion Week and London Design Festival 2010.

All products will be available for sale starting September 20 in our webstore, Eley Kishimoto Online Shop and discerning boutiques worldwide.
