Introducing the Ryan McGinness Capsule Collection
Artist Ryan McGinness explores outer space, the inner space of the mind and as McGinness puts it, “uber fanciness” in our latest collaboration. Available today, the Ryan McGinness capsule collection uses Incase products as a vessel for delivering the New York-based artist’s work, with a range that includes a 15” Protective Sleeve, Snap Case for iPhone 4S and Shoulder Bag. Created specifically for Incase, the original artwork featured in the collection is part of a larger body of work entitled Black Holes.
The Black Holes series is inspired by “event horizons,” the celestial light show that accompanies the collapse of light and matter into a black hole. Concentric patterns depict the theoretical physics of the universe while simultaneously creating mindscape portals to provoke a psychedelic response from the viewer. In our Ryan McGinness capsule collection, the artist has applied his iconic drawings to Incase’s signature cases and bags designed for Apple users with an appreciation of both art and technology.
The Ryan McGinness capsule collection is available now in limited quantities through our webstore.
Incase and Beams Join Forces to Create Exclusive Limited Edition Packs
We are excited to announce our latest collaboration with Tokyo’s leading purveyor of global fashion and lifestyle, BEAMS. Incorporating the visionary retailer’s discriminating style into a signature Incase design, the BEAMS Pack has been created in two limited editions available exclusively at goincase.com, BEAMS Online Shop and BEAMS shops in Japan and Hong Kong.
Infusing BEAMS’ fashion-forward sensibilities with Incase’s signature bag construction, the BEAMS Pack brings an elevated sophistication to a functional design. Understated materials like slate gray natural cotton canvas and indigo wash cotton denim combine with soft, supple leather for a premium look and feel that transcends material satisfaction. A ribbed coated canvas back panel provides comfort without sacrificing style. On the interior, a surprising, bold nylon taffeta in the signature BEAMS color, orange, lines multiple pockets and compartments including a padded notebook compartment and a dedicated slip pocket for iPad.
The Incase x BEAMS Pack is available now in our webstore (canvas edition only), BEAMS Online Shop and will be in BEAMS shops November 15.

Introducing Eley Kishimoto For Incase
UK based design duo Eley Kishimoto (Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto) have lent their iconic “Flash” print to our signature protective products. The Incase 13″ MacBook Pro Sleeve, iPad Sleeve and the Slider Case for iPhone 4 have been treated with the bold graphic, representing the perfect balance between creative flair and simple execution.
“Being an avid user of Incase accessories, I found their products to be the perfect platform to express our creative ideas,” said Mark Eley, Eley Kishimoto founder. “We have manipulated a variety of surfaces and materials in the past, from concrete to ceramics to motor vehicles. With the Incase collaboration, it was an opportunity to communicate the quality and integrity of both brands’ approach to design, collaboration and product.”
From a partnership forged in the early 90s, Eley Kishimoto quickly gained a reputation for incisive and intelligent print design. Their creations have been displayed on the runways of the world through their work with Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Alber Elbaz and Jil Sander, among others. Although they primarily work in fashion, they have also collaborated with partners to offer a wide range of footwear and accessories, as well as wallpaper, furniture, fabrics and more.
The Incase | Eley Kishimoto collection is our latest collaborative project within the fashion world, following previous co-branded releases with Paris fashion boutique colette featuring art by Gareth Pugh and Japanese menswear brand uniform experiment.
“Technology and fashion are almost inseparable these days, and we are playing a key role in this convergence,” said Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “Eley Kishimoto has a strong visual identity and positioning which I respect and admire on many levels and the partnership brings a fresh perspective that people can relate to.”
The Incase | Eley Kishimoto products are part of a capsule collection of accessories for Apple device users with an appreciation of fashion and technology. The collection will officially launch at London Fashion Week and London Design Festival 2010.
All products will be available for sale starting September 20 in our webstore, Eley Kishimoto Online Shop and discerning boutiques worldwide.

AnOther Magazine and colette Bring Gareth Pugh Artistry to Incase
The capsule collection for AnOther | colette includes a 13″ MacBook Pro Sleeve and iPhone 3GS Slider Case ornamented with exclusive graphic artwork by fashion designer Gareth Pugh. The graphic is synonymous Pugh’s bold design sensibility, turning personal technology devices into statement pieces. Pugh’s fractal print cleverly intersperses stars within the graphic in reference to his signature star print featured in lining and on tees within his collection.
“Our partnership with AnOther Magazine, colette and Gareth Pugh demonstrates the relevance and complementary nature of fashion and technology,” said Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “We all share a passion for forward-thinking innovation and have mutual respect for each other’s design aesthetics, which resulted in an unexpected partnership with a unique point of view reflected in the pieces we’ve produced.”
The highly limited collection is part of a collaborative project between AnOther Magazine and Colette, featuring a select group of favored brands and designers handpicked to create the six limited-edition products for this iteration of the project. All products in the series will be carried exclusively by select boutiques in major fashion capitals of the world—Paris, London, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles.

Available now: HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags
Our bi-coastal collaboration with HUF and DQM has gone from concept to creation. Available today are the HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags, customized in two variations that feature defining visuals of each of the retailers’ respective cities. Designed with bike and skate enthusiasts in mind, the bags pair the best aspects of conventional bike messenger bags and the ability to secure a skateboard with Incase’s refined industrial design aesthetic and device-driven functional features.
Born out of longstanding friendships that span across time and space, the Incase for HUF and DQM project began when Damon Way (Incase Chief Brand Officer), Keith Hufnagel, aka HUF (HUF owner/professional skateboarder), and Dave Ortiz (DQM owner) decided to partner together with the vision of creating a product that authentically represented their collective interests, backgrounds and geographies. Both retailers worked closely with the Incase design team in conceptualizing and making suggestions for the bag’s design and construction.
An important aspect of the project was to outwardly represent the cities of each retailer by customizing the bags’ front panels. San Francisco is represented on the front panel of the HUF Skate Messenger Bag through custom patches with DBC references and HUF’s signature H. DQM pays homage to New York City with a graffiti-laden waterproof interior panel and an exterior panel featuring a sewer rat and a version of the Statue of Liberty. Both bags feature the Incase for HUF and DQM logo wheel patch.
The HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags have been produced in limited quantities and are available for purchase through the Incase webstore, HUF retail locations, DQM and better boutiques.
