AnOther Magazine and colette Bring Gareth Pugh Artistry to Incase

AnOther Colette

The capsule collection for AnOther | colette includes a 13” MacBook Pro Sleeve and iPhone 3GS Slider Case ornamented with exclusive graphic artwork by fashion designer Gareth Pugh. The graphic is synonymous Pugh’s bold design sensibility, turning personal technology devices into statement pieces. Pugh’s fractal print cleverly intersperses stars within the graphic in reference to his signature star print featured in lining and on tees within his collection.

“Our partnership with AnOther Magazine, colette and Gareth Pugh demonstrates the relevance and complementary nature of fashion and technology,” said Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “We all share a passion for forward-thinking innovation and have mutual respect for each other’s design aesthetics, which resulted in an unexpected partnership with a unique point of view reflected in the pieces we’ve produced.”

The highly limited collection is part of a collaborative project between AnOther Magazine and Colette, featuring a select group of favored brands and designers handpicked to create the six limited-edition products for this iteration of the project. All products in the series will be carried exclusively by select boutiques in major fashion capitals of the world—Paris, London, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles.

This capsule collection of Incase product for AnOther | colette will be available for purchase this week online at AnOther Magazine with availability following at select boutiques worldwide.

Available now: HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags

Incase for HUF and DQM

Our bi-coastal collaboration with HUF and DQM has gone from concept to creation. Available today are the HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags, customized in two variations that feature defining visuals of each of the retailers’ respective cities. Designed with bike and skate enthusiasts in mind, the bags pair the best aspects of conventional bike messenger bags and the ability to secure a skateboard with Incase’s refined industrial design aesthetic and device-driven functional features.

Born out of longstanding friendships that span across time and space, the Incase for HUF and DQM project began when Damon Way (Incase Chief Brand Officer), Keith Hufnagel, aka HUF (HUF owner/professional skateboarder), and Dave Ortiz (DQM owner) decided to partner together with the vision of creating a product that authentically represented their collective interests, backgrounds and geographies. Both retailers worked closely with the Incase design team in conceptualizing and making suggestions for the bag’s design and construction.

An important aspect of the project was to outwardly represent the cities of each retailer by customizing the bags’ front panels. San Francisco is represented on the front panel of the HUF Skate Messenger Bag through custom patches with DBC references and HUF’s signature H. DQM pays homage to New York City with a graffiti-laden waterproof interior panel and an exterior panel featuring a sewer rat and a version of the Statue of Liberty. Both bags feature the Incase for HUF and DQM logo wheel patch.

The HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags have been produced in limited quantities and are available for purchase through the Incase webstore, HUF retail locations, DQM and better boutiques.

Curated by Arkitip Project Launches with KRINK

Incase and Arkitip are excited to officially launch the Curated by Arkitip project with the much-anticipated KRINK Sleeve, now available through the Incase web store, Arkitip, select Apple® retail and better boutiques.

Curated by Arkitip is an ongoing project designed for Incase aimed at delivering artistically embellished Apple®-based products to users who have an appreciation for the creative arts and technology. Artists are carefully chosen by Arkitip for dedication to their respective art forms and unique points of view.

“This project is a natural extension of what I do with Arkitip,” comments Sas, Arkitip Art Director. “We are giving artists a medium where they can be creative and gain exposure at the same time. Curated by Arkitip allows me to continue to work with artists that I respect and admire.”

First in the Curated by Arkitip series is the KRINK Sleeve, a limited-edition collaborative effort between Incase, Arkitip and artist KR (Craig Costello). KR is the creator of Krink, a line of handmade inks and markers fit for use in both street and studio environments. KR’s products gained notoriety through their association with his work in the street, the studio and his dripping ink aesthetics. Curated by Arkitip merges KR’s artistry with the Incase notebook sleeve, a signature piece within the Incase line, resulting in a refined version of the classic sleeve.

“The collaboration was born of mutual respect and a core belief in quality and innovation that applies to both design and art,” comments Damon Way, Incase Chief Brand Officer. “The sleeve, in effect, acts as a canvas or billboard for KR and other artists. KR’s design makes a bold statement on a very utilitarian object.”

The limited-edition KRINK Sleeve is available for MacBook and MacBook Pro 15″.

Another Kind Of Green

akog bag

Our most recent John Mayer and Incase collaboration. Together, we created a simple, reusable, “green” utility/grocery bag made from hemp that was given to all the passengers of his Mayercraft Carrier Cruise last weekend. With one large volume and two buttoned flap pockets on the front for a wallet, keys or sunglasses, it was the perfect accessory for anyone cruising on the ship.

I heard the music was incredible and everyone on the cruise had a blast. Tony was there for the festivities. You can check out more pics on his blog.
