Introducing the Ryan McGinness Capsule Collection
Artist Ryan McGinness explores outer space, the inner space of the mind and as McGinness puts it, “uber fanciness” in our latest collaboration. Available today, the Ryan McGinness capsule collection uses Incase products as a vessel for delivering the New York-based artist’s work, with a range that includes a 15” Protective Sleeve, Snap Case for iPhone 4S and Shoulder Bag. Created specifically for Incase, the original artwork featured in the collection is part of a larger body of work entitled Black Holes.
The Black Holes series is inspired by “event horizons,” the celestial light show that accompanies the collapse of light and matter into a black hole. Concentric patterns depict the theoretical physics of the universe while simultaneously creating mindscape portals to provoke a psychedelic response from the viewer. In our Ryan McGinness capsule collection, the artist has applied his iconic drawings to Incase’s signature cases and bags designed for Apple users with an appreciation of both art and technology.
The Ryan McGinness capsule collection is available now in limited quantities through our webstore.
Confirmed Compatibility: iPhone 4S Cases Available Now
We’re happy to confirm that our current assortment of cases for iPhone 4 are also compatible with iPhone 4S. From our minimal, lightweight Snap Case to our signature Slider Case and our new Hybrid Cover, the cases available in the iPhone 4/iPhone 4S section of our webstore now and sold by our authorized retailers will fit iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
Please note that any cases obtained through last year’s Apple iPhone 4 Case Program and before the release of the CDMA iPhone 4 (February 2010) are not compatible with iPhone 4S due to slight changes in the button layout that affected the shape of the cutouts on our cases.
With the holiday season just around the corner, you can expect new cases for iPhone 4S in an array of colors and styles, so be sure to keep up with us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news.
iPhone 4S
Yesterday’s Apple announcement has us eagerly counting down to October 14 for the launch of iPhone 4S. With exciting new features including iOS 5, an all new 8 megapixel camera, full 1080p HD video capabilities and Siri, Apple has proven that it’s truly what’s inside that sets the iPhone 4S apart.
Given that iPhone 4S maintains the same form as iPhone 4, we believe that the current assortment of Incase products for iPhone 4 will also be compatible with iPhone 4S, however we will work to confirm this once we have iPhone 4S in-hand on the 14th. With the holiday season on the horizon, you can expect new case styles and colors for the iPhone users on your list.
