Avi Buffalo began recording with engineer Aaron Embry (Elliott Smith and Emmylou Harris). The band signed to Sub Pop in late-2009, releasing its self-titled debut of intricate yet lovely pop songs in April 2010, and extensively toured the US, Europe, and the UK.
