La Sera Performs “Never Come Around” on Room 205

Incase is pleased to premiere the second installment of Room 205 with La Sera, the solo project of Vivian Girls’ Katy Goodman. A few days before embarking on La Sera’s first UK tour, Katy stopped by Room 205 – along with hired guns Jennifer Prince and Jonathan Weinberg – to blast through a few songs from Katy’s upcoming full-length on Hardly Art. This week, Incase has unveiled the second song from that session – “Never Come Around.” The first song, “Devils Hearts Grow Gold,” premiered last week. Both are available today for viewing and audio streaming through Room 205’s virtual home. The third and final performances will air Monday, January 17th.

Room 205 is a rehearsal space in Downtown Los Angeles that has been converted into an audio recording studio. As a means to foster goodwill between artists, music lovers and Incase, Room 205 will play host to touring and local bands who will each perform three songs and sit for casual interviews.

Inside Room 205, visitors are able to watch intimate performances and interviews, stream audio of the tracks and view photos of the sessions in the improvised space filled with recording equipment, sunlight and abundant creativity. Previous episodes of Room 205 feature Abe Vigoda, Crystal Antlers, and Puro Instinct.

Can’t Take You Anywhere by Puro Instinct

Founding Puro Instinct (formerly Pearl Harbor) members Piper and Skylar Kaplan began playing together in the summer of ‘08 with no experience and no idea what they were getting themselves into. After a year or so, they put together a proper band (Dodi Porter, Jessie Clavin, Mike Baum, and Crazy Murray) to begin crafting their ethereal pop confections.

Seance by Crystal Antlers

In the words of bassist/vocalist Jonny Bell, “It was mid-summer last year when Crystal Antlers were floating around in a pool and decided to move to Mexico to write our next record. Several months later, after completing our sixth tour in a row, we moved into a barn in a small farming town 100 miles south of the US-Mexico border. This is some of the music that we emerged with from that experience.
