When our friend Vivian (aka DJ Star Eyes) called us a couple of weeks ago to say Trouble & Bass could use a little help from Incase with the label’s 4th Anniversary party at Le Poisson Rouge in New York’s Greenwich Village, we of course said “YES!” Please join T&B and Incase on Saturday, September 18th from 10PM to 4AM for a night of sweat-soaked bodies, big beat bangers and bottomless bass. Performing DJs include Bart B. More, Plastician, Star Eyes, Drop The Lime, AC Slater, and The Captain. You bring the glow sticks and we’ll bring the free cases for your iPhone 4 and 3GS.

HOMECOMING during NY Fashion Week

HOMECOMING is a week-long pop-up hub for events, programs, performances, socializing and art during New York Fashion Week. Located on a storefront venue on Elizabeth Street in Nolita, one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of Manhattan, HOMECOMING reclaims the physical space of downtown Manhattan, celebrating the intersection of creativity in music, fashion, street, art, literature and film during one of the most exciting weeks of the year.

The HOMECOMING space, designed by acclaimed set designer Peter Klein, will transform daily to accommodate the week’s many activities. During the day, HOMECOMING will serve as a gathering place, providing a space for people to relax between shows, grab some coffee, hang out and have their picture taken by renowned photographer Dan Martensen in an old-fashion style portrait studio. In the evenings, HOMECOMING will host live performances, readings, panels, parties and art shows all curated by Dossier, a New York-based magazine and cultural website.

Celebrating the CSC

Good friends, soccer, hot dogs and beer—that pretty much sums up the evening. Who knew a fresh coat of paint, a few sheets of wallpaper, a foosball table and jerseys would turn an old NYC metal shop into a Soccer Clubhouse.

The team worked hard creating a home to showcase their CSC artifacts that represent the past eight years of friendships built and games played on the Chinatown soccer field. A big thanks to Coach Gerhard Stochl, Kevin, Drew, Dan, Peter, Dom, Charlie, Joel and the rest of the crew for making the Clubhouse come to life for the team, family and friends to enjoy. It was kind of like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with Gerhard as Ty. (That’s a compliment guys;)

A good time was had by all at the Clubhouse celebration—chowing down on the tastiest of (Asian style) dogs the city has to offer (thanks to Mel and Steve) while guzzling down Asahi and playing a bit of competitive foosball. And for some, the evening served as a reunion of sorts.

Congrats to both the CSC and Incase for a job well done on the Soccer Bag collaboration. A long time in the making, the bag is now available (in our web store) and will be on display throughout the weekend at the CSC Clubhouse. We highly encourage you stop by for a visit (195 Chrystie Street, NYC).

The final installment of our video series finds Telepathe moving from the background to center stage (quite literally). The experimental noise pop group provided the soundtrack for the first two videos in the series, and the third episode features an intimate live performance of the song “Michael” from their album Dance Mother.

The performance is hosted by the same group of friends from the earlier videos, who learn that Incase products offer protection when you least expect to need it.

The second installment of our video series continues to chronicle a group of friends in New York City. Once again, our protagonists count on the protection offered by Incase products as they use the video feature of the iPhone 3GS to document their journey from Williamsburg to the Lower East Side across the Brooklyn Bridge.

The video features the songs “Devil’s Trident (The Big Pink Specialization Reality)” and “Lights Go Down” by Telepathe from their album Dance Mother. And with that, we present Experiment No. 2: Moped Ride. Look for the final short on 3/22.

We teamed up with film collective Ghost Robot to create a series of three video shorts filmed in and around New York City. Centered around a group of friends whose leisurely pursuits involve creative experiments with the iPhone 3GS, the buoyant bunch relies on the protection of Incase products to give them the freedom to push the limits of iPhone video experimentation.

Experimental noise pop group Telepathe provides the soundtrack for the segments and makes a cameo in the final video of the series. Featured here is the song “Can’t Stand It” from their album Dance Mother.

Without further ado, we present to you Experiment No. 1: Rocket Launch. Be on the lookout for the second short dropping 3/15.
