Introducing the Fall 09 Skate Pack, the newest addition to the Paul Rodriguez Signature Collection, designed and constructed with the essentials in mind. The Skate Pack helps you take what you need where you need it by merging skateboard-specific design with the best in notebook protection and functional storage.
Constructed of durable, weather resistant nylon, the Skate Pack features a padded back panel and shoulder straps with breathable mesh and integrated airflow channels for ergonomic support and comfort. The exterior skateboard attachment allows for easy deck-loading, with Velcro straps and compression bumpers to secure your skateboard.
On the inside, the Skate Pack is lined in a custom screen-printed allover P-Rod multi-dot design and includes a reinforced notebook compartment and an extensive array of pockets allow for maximum organization.
And we can’t forget the collection’s namesake in all this. Paul has been busy this summer traveling, competing and winning. His recent performance on home court at Summer X Games 2009 in Los Angeles earned him the gold in Street. (Congratulations, Paul!)
We had the chance to document Paul on the road, traveling to the Boston stop of the Dew Tour. Check out the video (Filmed by Felipe Lima) to get an inside look at a day in the life of P-Rod.
P-Rod just won his 3rd X-Games gold medal!

If you been following Roby Drydek’s Fantasy Factory on MTV, you probably already know that there’s a new movie coming out on June 12th called Street Dreams starring Paul Rodriguez.

The movie is about
Derrick Cabrera, like all skateboarders, dreams of being sponsored one day. He
has all the talent in the world to make it happen but some major roadblocks to overcome before he can make the dream a reality. He is receiving pressure from all sides, his parents are stressing him because he is failing in school, his girlfriend thinks he is a loser, his best friend has become his rival because he is better than him. Things come to a head after Derrick gets arrested and a fight ensues with his father resulting in him running away from home. He does the only thing he knows how to do and opts to follow his dream to the Tampa Am contest, one of the only ways an unknown skater can get noticed.
Here’s an exclusive clip in which Paul talks about his involvement in the film.
Download the Street Dreams flyer to find out where and when the movie premieres.
Last week we held a giveaway to celebrate PROOF, a video by Paul Rodriguez. We received a lot of entries and carefully looked at each and everyone of them. We were pleasantly surprised how good a lot of you guys are. We eventually came to an agreement that these are the winners…
1st Prize: Josh Pantoja. Anyone that starts off a line with a switch frontside 360 is a guaranteed winner and totally deserves a Skate Bag.
2nd prize: Kevin Erst. Love the rawness. An Overnite Bag is coming your way Kevin.
3rd prize: Dave Feldman. Not many people can make inward heelflips look good (except Wieger van Wageningen of course) but Dave nailed it. Enjoi your Skate Pack Dave.
Congrats guys! Let us know what you think of the bags! Thanks to everyone that entered, there will be more giveaways in the future, so keep our site in check. Subscribe to our Twitter!
Now go watch PROOF.
Plan B Skateboards put up a pretty insane promo video called “SuperFuture”. Here’s Paul’s part:
Download the entire 15 minute long movie (110MB).
Travel luggage for your skateboard…and then some. With storage for personal items on top, the Skate Bag’s lower compartment is equipped to handle a complete board setup, spare decks and parts.
We spent this past Saturday in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. hosting an event in conjunction with Active to celebrate the launch of the Paul Rodriguez Signature Collection.

Paul was there to meet and sign posters for everyone who came out.

He even took some time to participate in the free skate session that was going on outside.
Greg, Courtney and Christine held it down at the stenciling booth (check out the P-Rod face stencil!)
Thanks to Paul Rodriguez, Active, the staff at Rancho Cucamonga and everyone who came out. View the entire set on Flickr.
