Event Recap: Incase x THIS los angeles x Parentheses
Friday, November 2nd, THIS los angeles and Incase hosted the opening night of co-exhibition “PARENTHESES” from South Carolina-based artists Paul Martyka and Reed Elliott. For the occasion we worked with gallery co-owner Justin Van Hoy to create 100 limited-edition, custom cut & colored totes featuring the collaborative work of Reed and Martyka. Yes, brown cats rule.

THIS x Thom Lessner x Incase
This past Friday THIS los angeles and Incase hosted the opening night for the new exhibition “TURBO LOVER” from artist and musician Thom Lessner.
For the occasion we worked with Lessner and gallery co-owner Justin Van Hoy to create 100 limited-edition, custom cut & colored totes. The 80s hesher-inspired black skulls on a blood-red bag might be the scariest/funniest/most ridiculous tote we’ve ever made.

By the way, Glen Danzig spotting his band mates in the weight room was our favorite work of the show. It must be seen in person to be properly appreciated. Thom Lessner Exhibit Opening Soon!
On Friday, Sept. 28th, THIS los angeles and Incase are pleased to present Turbo Lover, an exhibition of new works by visual artist and musician Thom Lessner; (including paintings, painted paper sculptures, and hand sewn felt signs).
Thom Lessner is a native Ohioan currently living in Philadelphia. He is an ardent skateboarder and rock n’ roller in the costume-clad band Sweetheart. Lessner has created work for-and-with POKETO, Shepherd Fairey, and a multitude of magazines including Thrasher, Vice, Swindle, and Spin. Lessner’s works have traveled to Los Angeles, New York, and internationally.

For this very special event we’ve created 100 limited-edition, custom cut & color totes featuring Lessner’s signature parody skulls of 80s pop culture figures, (yes, parody skulls). Arrive early to snag a bag, stay late to ride the fade. We look forward to having you with us.
Gold Coast Opening Night at THIS LA
This past Friday THIS los angeles and Incase hosted the opening night for the new co-exhibition “Gold Coast” from artists Danny Gibson and Mike Bertino.
For the occasion we worked with Gibson, Bertino and the THIS gallery to create 100 limited-edition, custom cut & colored totes. The yellow print motif on orange canvas might very well be the best looking bag we’ve done yet. Good job Justin Van Hoy!

Stacks: That’s What’s Up
This past Friday THIS los angeles hosted the opening night for Stacks, the new solo exhibit from artist Erin Garcia. For the occasion we worked with Garcia and THIS gallery co-owner Justin Van Hoy to create 100 limited-edition, custom cut & colored totes.
Delighted to say all were descended upon within five minutes of the drop. Thanks again to everyone who came out to the opening, Erin Garcia is truly deserving of your support. This past Friday the folks at THIS los angeles in Highland Park, CA held the opening event for The Art Dump’s Clocked In exhibit, featuring the work of the creative team behind Girl Skateboards, (Eric Anthony, Hershel Baltrotsky, Michael Coleman, Andy Jenkins, Christian Morin, Andy Mueller, and Chris Waycott).
For the occasion we worked with The Art Dump and THIS gallery co-owner Justin Van Hoy to create 100 limited-edition tote bags. Yes, the cubicle-inspired office graphics were mega tough to take upon first glance but should mellow nicely with time and repeated washings. If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one, please let us know. They were all gone by the time we got there. :(
