Rostarr
Romon Kimin Yang, aka Rostarr, is a multi-disciplinary artist, painter and filmmaker living and working in Brooklyn. For over two decades his work has blurred the lines between graphic design & fine art and is best known for his colorful abstract polymorphic paintings, totemic iconographic characters and black and white calligraphic drawings. He continually strives to find freedom within style, medium and form and build upon the iconographic visual language he terms "Graphysics", a word that exemplifies the geometric dynamism characteristic in his work. Rostarr is also a founding member of the Barnstormers artist collective, established in 1999.
The Product
In the ninth installment of our Curated by Arkitip series, original Rostarr artwork graces our 15" MacBook Pro Sleeve and Book Jacket for iPad 2. The works, based on a series of paintings inspired by the Tour de France, deal with the nature of competition between individuals, the energy and emotion of the race, and ultimately, the reward.
