Travel meets Photography!
POSTED ON 8.13.12 • BY Corky
I do a lot of traveling and have got in travel photography. I have tried a few different bags along the way. Some had not bad camera/gear storage, but not enough room for other personal stuff. I wasn't looking for an big check in style camera/gear bag. I wanted a bag that could fit all my camera gear in with room to grow, hold my Macbook and some other personal gear I like to put in a carry on the plane type of bag. This incase DSLR Pro Pack checks all the boxes for a travel friendly camera/gear bag I was looking for. It has more than enough storage for personal stuff and camera gear. With easy access to your camera anytime. Its comfortable to wear and fits into over head airplane storage with ease. I have a full size DSLR camera and it fits into this bag with out a problem. All in all I am very happy with this bag, and fits my needs perfect! THANKS!
Fits a Substantial Amount of Gear Including my Gripped D-700

This is now my second Incase bag, my first being the Ari Marcopoulos sling.
I absolutely love this Incase DSLR Pro bag which features a stylish but understated heather grey exterior. I am able to accommodate a multitude of gear that includes the following:
Gripped Nikon D700, Nikon 300mm F4, Nikon 80-200mm AF-S with hood, Nikon 35-70mm F2.8 with hood, Nikon 50mm D with hood, Nikon SB-900 flash, Yongnuo YN-560 flash, 15" Macbook Pro, Vanguard Alta Pro 284CT Tripod with SBH-300 ball head, Large Rogue Flashbender, Rogue Grid, CarrySpeed speed strap, 4 Aputure Trigmaster radio triggers, Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly sensor cleaner, Visible Dust Sensor Loupe, batteries, cleaning cloths, cables and other miscellaneous items. I easily fit all of these items into this bag with room to spare!
I noticed that another reviewer experienced issues accommodating a gripped Nikon D7000, but my experience with the larger gripped D700 suggests that there is more than ample depth to accommodate any Nikon camera. My camera does not protrude anywhere and lies perfectly flat in my bag.
The only negative I can think of in regard to this bag is the lack of a rain cover. This can be easily remedied however with silicone waterproofing spray which I have also used to further waterproof my snowboard apparel.
Incase absolutely hit a home run with the DSLR Pro Pack. This bag hosts a multitude of pockets to store all of your gear on both the interior and exterior, features removable divider panels, offers a great design aesthetic, solid protective build and is sold for a price that is within the budget of most any photographer. I searched long and hard for a bag that fit my criteria and once again, Incase has met my expectations.
Great bag

The layout and function of the bag are fantastic. The quick access zip allows you to easily grab your SLR when you need to without a hitch. With two bodies, 24-70mm, 70-200mm and flash, you still have left over room.
The front pocket give provides ample room for laptop, hard drives and a light jacket.
Although the material does not seem water resistant, water seems to pearl off the surface in light rain.
Overall I would highly recommend this bag.
I am a professional photographer and love this bag. It's really great for me as I travel a ton and this bag allows me to have quick access to my camera and laptop. I've used it for about two months and traveled all over with it. I would recommend for sure, as it's the best camera backpack I've seen/used.
There are some cons such as:
- The backpack is very heavy when filled with gear, it could use a waist strap to help the load
- The quick access zipper to my camera unzips when I lift the pack from the handle
- The front main storage is very awkward to put things in since the opening doesn't open wide enough
- I think there needs to be more padding on the back and bottom of the pack. If you put anything in the accessories pockets in the back camera gear section you can feel it on your pack. It is very uncomfortable on my back when I tried to put batteries and lens caps and such in those pockets.
With all that said, I still think this is the best camera backpack out there for my needs.
Not designed to hold gripped cameras
POSTED ON 3.11.12 • BY Dan
I received this bag recently and it looks fantastic, however it is not designed properly for gripped cameras. I have a D300 and D7000 and both of these cameras stick out a reasonable amount from the top, and since the camera compartment is in the back of the bag the prisms of the camera pushes out into my back while wearing it. It is very uncomfortable and I can't fathom how a bag designed for the pro market was not designed to be deep enough to hold a gripped camera, if not a pro-size body. This also does not include a raincover which at this price would be expected.
This bag is amazing!!

I gave this pack as a gift to a friend of mine who just loves photography, but never had the time to practice because of bag problems. So many bags for just one simple trip, but when I saw this bag on the incase website (which I check daily) I just had to get it for my friend! Turns out it was everything that they needed to get started and now they take pictures al the time! This is the best bag ever! Other then being stylish, but subtle with the logo, it fit everything and more! The only problem I thought was that the bag isn't waterproof, but I don't think thats a major problem compared with all the cons this bag has to offer! Incase you did a fantastic job!!

I received this bag today and my first initial impressions is that its very comfortable under full load. What I really like about the bag is that it doesn't look like a "camera" bag. It has plenty of storage for anything you might need. My only concern is that if its a "Pro" bag, is that it should be weather resistant. For the price I got it for...and not being water resistant. I think i might keep it.

I got this bag because I have a need for a bag that can hold long lenses and give quick access to all of your gear in bad with out the hassle of digging around for anything. I personally own the Ari Bag and the DSLR sling pack. The video demonstration says and explains all you can do and shows how versatile it is not to mention how stylish it is despite its bulk and looks more appealing to the eye compared to other bags from competitors. My only problem with this bag is that it doesn't come with a rain cover, otherwise, it's the best pro camera bag out there in my opinion.
