Shock Absorption System
The Layered Foam System, constructed from the highest-grade materials, safeguards the guitar's most vulnerable parts. Its unique "V Design" Rubber Foot diffuses the shock of a vertical drop away from the metal strap pin, while the Foam Bumper Frame and impact-deflecting shell absorb any remaining shock.
Durability
Its extremely tough, water resistant protective nylon piping, together with self-correcting zippers and rubber-coated zipper pulls, shields the guitar and provide structural integrity to protect against bumps and drops.
Exterior Shell
The ultra-light impact deflection shell, located on the top, sides and bottom, along with the multi-density foam protection layer, diffuses impact before it reaches the guitar.
Foam Neck Bridge
This soft foam bridge is covered in mesh and bolsters the neck from below to remove strain from the vulnerable nut area.
Dual Storage Pockets

Great solid construction, but heavy :(
Got this case for Christmas, and was debating for a while whether to use it or return it. The case itself is absolutely solid, like a hard case -- Don\'t think my basses could be protected any better. However, it\'s definitely too heavy and bulky as a gig bag, it\'s tough to carry. I\'ve owned a Gator double bass gigbag (leatherette) for a few years, and although it\'s not nearly this quality, it was much much lighter.
The advantage of the incase is also the dual-strap backpack mode, which makes it somewhat easier to carry such a heavy load. But walking any distance with a full load of two heavy 5-strings feels like I\'m gonna tip over... Just too heavy.

I purchased the Dub Bass Bag when the company was new and reviewed in Bass Player Magizine. I've couldn't have been more satisfied with the Bag & it's performance!!
I see that the newer bags are a bit different. That's good.
Has it been considered adding a "Neck Holder Strap" that would hold the neck snug to the neck support via a velcro padded strap ?
