great case!
i actually purchased the rose protective cover at the apple store, but the headphones hole ripped through after about 4 months. i would recommend incase because i told them about the problem and they sent me a replacement very quickly. i shipped the old one back and got the new one a week after reporting the problem. anyway, not only is it a great product, but incase also provides great customer service by standing by their warranty.
i have a white slider case and i have to say that i like the protective cover better. i\'ve dropped my phone in the slider and the protective cover (several times actually) and it feels more protected in the protective cover believe it or not. it bounces off the floor minimizing the impact, well that\'s in my opinion anyway.
the only complain i have about the rose protective cover is that it fades rather quickly and gets sort of grayish. that\'s probably just me being too picky because it\'s actually my favourite case. try it, you\'ll dig it!

bought one for my wife. She keeps her 3g in a purse and loves that it grabs on slick surfaces. Leave your phone on the dash and drive around with no worries. This does make it hard to retrieve from a pocket. So if you store your phone in your Levis, pick up a slider not a rubber cover. Doesn't mean this case is no good, just not for everyone. That's why incase makes more than one cover. very nice.
Worth it!
This case looks good and feels good. The holes for the camera, ringer switch, dock, speaker/mic and headphones are all cut very well and line up perfectly. The material is thick enough to protect your phone but thin enough to not add much bulk or weight. iPhone 3G is pretty slippery and this keeps your phone in your hand (and not on the floor!). The fit of the case is pretty snug and the it shouldn't stretch out, unless you keep putting it on and taking it off. Since it's silicone (or rubber?) it's a bit hard to get in and out of pant pockets, but on the plus side it doesn't pick up much lint. Overall I would say this is well worth the money and great if you're looking for a decent amount of protection/grip without much bulk or garishness.
The rose is a very pretty color, sort of a dark pink. Definitely not as bright as the previous Magenta protective cover.
