Best Case I've Ever Had
I used this case on my 3G for 4 years, and it performed flawlessly. I dropped my iPhone more times than I wish to recall, and this case saved me everytime. I recently bought an iPhone 5 and am just purchased the same Slider Case for the 5 that I used on my 3G. Absolutely destroys all other competition.
I wouldn't by any other case
I bought my phone used from a friend with this case. At the time he mentioned that the case wasn't cheap, but well made and really seemed to protect the phone.
Fast forward to today, the phone is now 2.5 years old and still running just fine. The case just broke (the small piece above the wide grove for the connector cracked), because I dropped it one too many times, but the phone still works fine.
I've never used a screen protector either, but since the edge of the case stands up around the edge of the screen, it has protected the screen from hitting hard surfaces during falls. I'm pretty sure I would have had a cracked screen by now, if I did not have this case.
So here I am, 2.5 years on the phone and I'm just buying a new case as a replacement (I'm pretty sure my current case would still last for 1 year). Don't tell your phone company you are using this case, they expect your phone to only last for about 2 years. With this case, you can easily tickle 4 years out of the phone.
