While much of Andy Warhol’s most recognizable artwork is silkscreened prints, many of his early works are ink illustrations that were often hand colored by his friends. So Many Stars (circa 1958) belongs to a larger series of works that deal with the concept of “So,” including Spaghetti is So Slippery, I Love You So, So Happy and So There You Are, among several others.
