Danger

Danger is an intense fellow. The lifelong resident of Redondo Beach, CA is equally mad, genius and borderline schizophrenic. He practices the art of collage, creating works that are both frightening and incredibly intricate. A true outer-artist, Danger (real name Dan) gave up the use of technology almost entirely in favor of a warehouse storage space and an office (with a dial-up internet connection) in the basement of his mother’s house. He has no cell phone, does not drive a car and lives off whatever books he sells via an online bookstore.

Danger refuses to participate with the world around him and has a general disdain for humanity. That said, he is mildly obsessed with Lady Gaga and has a real fondness for Roxy Music and Ladytron.

THIS Visits takes a look into the mind of Danger, one of the gallery’s favorite artists.
